Nigerian Skippo Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa were shortlisted for CAF 2014 Award.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), have revealed the
list of nominees for the 2014 African Player of the Year and the 2014 African Player of the Year (Based in Africa) in the Glo-Caf Awards.

There are 25 players in the race to win the African Player of the Year, while 20 players have been shortlisted for the Player of the Year (Based in Africa).

Nigeria’s duo of Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa make the 25-man list, while Ejike Uzoenyi is included in the Africa-based Player of the Year.

The other names on the African Player of the Year award include: Ghanaian duo of Asamoah Gyan (Al-Ain) and Kwadwo Asamoah (Juventus), Dame N’doye (Lokomotiv Moscow), Sadio Mané (Southampton), Emmanuel Adebayor (Tottenham) and the Cameroonian trio of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (Schalke 04), Stephane Mbia (Sevilla) and Vincent Aboubakar (Porto).
Ivorians on the list are Yao Kouassi Gervais ‘Gervinho’ (Roma), Wilfred Bony (Swansea) and Yaya Toure (Manchester City), as well as Fakhreddine Ben Youssef and Ferdjani Sassi from Tunisia and CS Sfaxien.

The four Algerian players on the list are: Islam Slimani (Sporting Lisbon), Raïs M’Bolhi (Philadelphia Union), Sofiane Feghouli (Valencia) and Yacine Brahimi (Porto). Yannick Bolasie of DR Congo and Crystal Palace, Thulani Serero of South Africa and Ajax, Seydou Keita of Mali and As Roma, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon and Borussia Dortmund and Mohamed El Neny of Egypt and Basel complete the list.
