We can't shut up Sepp Blatter for what he says - Ancelotti

Manuel Neuer should win the 2014 FIFA Ballon d'O ahead of Christiano Ronaldo. Carlo Ancelotti has said that it is impossible to “shut up” FIFA president Sepp Blatter, but such a thing can not happen not in this year's Ballon d'Or award.

C.Ronaldo has been tipped by some football fans in order to win the FIFA award following the impact he has contributed to his team , especially in terms of goals. But the Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said his player will be the won to win the FIFA's Ballon d'Or.

“I’m surprised by the Fifa president’s comments, but he can say what he wants,” Ancelotti said at a press conference.

“There’s not much we can do about it. It is impossible to shut up the president of FIFA. “The Ballon d’Or is something people always start speaking about months before the award ceremony. But there aren’t many things to discuss this year in my opinion.

“If Ronaldo won it last year ahead of players like Franck Ribery and Lionel Messi, then there’s no doubt about it that he will win again this year after winning important titles with Madrid and scoring so many goals.

“For me, Blatter’s comment that Neuer should win it don’t make much sense…”

The names of the 23-man that was shortlised for the award will be reduced to three candidates on December 1 while the winner will be announced on January 12.
