Vincent Enyeama appeal to call off 2015 AFCON
The Nigerian Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has forwarded an appeal to
CAF, in order to call off AFCON because of the deadly virus called EBOLA.
The Lille goalstopper Enyeama said this, after their Europa League match against Everton on thursday, in which the match ended in 0-0.
He was quoted to have said: “I really wish it doesn’t happen with all the people that will be moving around." But I’m not CAF. I’m not the one who calls the shots.”
“It’s risky for everyone because you go to Africa and then everyone is hugging you and shaking you, and what can you do? You’re at risk.
“But if it happens I will play, if we qualify.”
Let us be reminded that, total number of people who have dead from this case of Ebola as rise to 5,000 across West Africa.
